Victoria Norden (Hills-Vink) Graduating Class of 1999
Since graduating in 1999, Victoria has completed her Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Business Law & Management at Bond University.
After a small stint of working overseas leading a Sales and Debt recovery team, Victoria was successful at securing a role in Brisbane with Auto & General Insurance (who underwrite Budget Direct Insurance along with many other household insurance brands).
Within 2 years, she moved into a leadership role that was the start of an 11 year career in the leadership team of the Claims & Assessing division. During this time, the most rewarding role was heading up the Auto & General Claims and Call Centre teams during cyclone Yasi and the 2011 Brisbane floods. Victoria took great pride in helping her customers and her team deal with the trauma and loss that many experienced during this tough time.
In 2015, Victoria shifted gears and began leading the Roadside Assistance product for Auto & General. This opportunity afforded her the chance to build on her executive leadership skills, while also gaining more experience in commercial negotiations and influencing others.
Victoria was also lucky enough to be selected as 1 of 4 finalists in 2015 for the Young Insurance Professional of the Year by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance & Finance in recognition of her efforts and contributions during her time in Claims & Assessing.
Victoria recently celebrated her 15th anniversary at Auto & General. She looks forward to many more happy years working in the insurance and has her eyes firmly set on achieving her career goal, to participate at board level within the organisation.
In July 2017 Victoria and her husband Stephen, were overjoyed to welcome their first baby boy, Charlie. The Norden family remain in Brisbane and are enjoying the joys (and challenges) that having a 2 year old brings to their lives.
