Secondary School Campus Administrator

(Full-Time Contract Monday 3rd July – Tuesday 5th December) Start date negotiable.

Short Description of the Role

The Secondary School Campus Administrator works closely with Management personnel to coordinate student/staff timetables and oversee student reporting.  This is a Full-time contract position is to cover a staff member on Long Service Leave.  

Key Responsibilities

·         Provide effective administration of human resource processes including timetabling, student data capture, relief teacher coordination, staff loading and timetable development; 

·         Operational support to the Deputy Principal and Director of Learning and Teaching;

·         Work with Project Leads on the coordination of events such as QCS testing, graduations, career events, expos, subject selection forms and other committees as required;

·         Manage communication between campus staff;

·         Oversee Middle and Senior School student reporting;

·         Identify when administration tasks need to be undertaken and instruct and liaise with the administrative  and teaching teams accordingly;

·         Calendar coordination and daily operations with room changes;

·         Undertake other tasks as requested by the Senior Leadership team.

Essential skills and experience

·         Database management (Timetabler and TASS experience preferable).

·         Well-developed administration and organisational skills including working independently

·         Strong IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

·         Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise competing tasks for completion on time

·         Previous experience in a coordinating role or project management

·         Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business relationships

·         Demonstrated effective and high level customer relations skills

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


Desirable skills and experiences

Previous work in a school context is highly desired but not essential.
Recent admin/reception experience in professional workplace
Intermediate MS Office Skills
Previous exposure to databases
Excellent verbal and written communications
Complex problem solving
Hold or be willing to obtain a Positive Notice Letter (working with children Blue Card) from the PBSA (Qld Public Safety Business Agency)
