We acknowledge and pay respect to the Kombumerri people who are the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and learn. We would like to pay our respects to all Elders past, present and emerging as they hold the memories, traditions, culture and hopes of our Indigenous people.

At St Andrews Lutheran College Early Learning Centre, our philosophy is grounded in six guiding values: Community, Belonging, Nurturing, Inquiry, Sustainability, and Spirituality. These values shape who we are and how we care for every child and family who walks through our doors.

We believe that early childhood is a sacred time of wonder, growth and discovery.

Our Centre is a place where children feel seen, safe, and supported-where relationships are the foundation of everything we do. We nurture deep connections with families, one another, and the wider community, embracing the unique gifts and stories each person brings.

Our learning environments are rich in possibility-spaces that encourage exploration, celebrate curiosity, and support children in becoming confident, capable learners. Through a play-based, inquiry-driven approach, children are invited to lead their learning, follow their interests, and engage meaningfully with the world around them.

We embrace our role as caretakers of the land, gently weaving care for the environment into everyday learning. Children are supported to notice, respect, and care for the natural world around them. Through simple experiences and thoughtful conversations, they begin to understand that all living things are connected and that their small actions can help make a big difference. Spirituality is gently woven through our days, grounded in the belief that each child is created by God with purpose, wonder, and the potential to make a difference.

Together, with families, educators and community-we walk alongside children, helping them grow into kind, resilient, and thoughtful citizens of the world.
