We acknowledge and pay respect to the Kombumerri people who are the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and learn. We would like to pay our respects to all Elders past, present and emerging as they hold the memories, traditions, culture and hopes of our Indigenous people.

Our students have a wide range of opportunities to participate in both fifteen-a-side and seven-a-side rugby, catering to their interests and promoting skill development in this exciting sport.

As rugby continues to grow within our College, we leverage the strong community connections in our local area to provide specialised coaching and support for our players.

Opportunities to Represent St Andrews

Under 12 to Under 18 Rugby

Our rugby program offers students in the Under 12 to Under 18 age groups the chance to participate in our Rugby teams. Starting in Term One and culminating in the Queensland All Schools 7's competition in Term Four, our students have the opportunity to showcase their skills and compete at a high level.

Regular Participation in Competitions

St Andrews rugby teams are regular participants in the Gold Coast's weekly competitions, offering our students consistent opportunities to test their skills against strong opponents and further develop their rugby abilities. In addition, we actively engage in a range of 7's competitions, providing our students with additional avenues to compete and excel.

Weekly Training

We are dedicated to the growth and development of our rugby players. Students involved in our rugby program have the benefit of weekly training sessions, allowing them to refine their skills, enhance their tactical understanding, and strengthen their teamwork. Furthermore, we ensure that dedicated sport allocated time is provided, ensuring our students receive comprehensive training.

We value the camaraderie, discipline, and determination that rugby instils in our students. Through rugby, passion, skill, and sportsmanship thrive.

The coaches are great and everyone is here to have a good time and learn new skills. I really enjoy it.
