Junior School Jazzettes

Junior School Advanced Troupe

The Junior School Jazzettes is an advanced dance troupe dedicated to Jazz and Musical Theatre. Dancers in this troupe exemplify strong technique and performance skills, alongside a strong commitment to rehearsals. This dynamic group embraces challenging repertoire, preparing for performance opportunities.

Rehearsals
  • Venue: Dance Studio 
  • Time: Monday 7:30 am to 8:20 am 
  • Requirements: Dance attire, black jazz shoes, hair up and off face 
Performance Opportunities

Students in this troupe will perform at various eisteddfods and College events including the College Arts Fair, our annual Dance Night, Cultural Awards and Presentation Nights.  

 

Junior School Express

Junior School Advanced Lyrical Troupe

The Junior School Express Troupe beckons skilled dancers in Years 4 to 6 who are at an advanced level. An invitation-only opportunity based on Junior School dance troupe auditions, this troupe demands a high degree of technique, flexibility, and expressiveness. Commitment to rehearsals is paramount, as dancers explore routines in the lyrical or contemporary style, with deeper choreographic intentions.

Rehearsals
  • Venue: Dance Studio 
  • Time: Weekly rotating lessons on Mondays and Tuesdays first break 
  • Requirements: Dance attire, black jazz shoes, hair up and off face 
Performance Opportunities

This group will compete at various dance eisteddfods throughout the year and will also perform at College events such as the College Arts Fair, annual Dance Night and Cultural Awards.

Guiding these Dance Troupes is teacher, Paula Guild. With her expertise and passion for dance, she ignites a passion for artistic expression and technical excellence in every dancer.
