Middle Years Locomotion

Middle Years Beginner/ Intermediate Troupe

Middle Years Locomotion is tailored for beginner to intermediate levels. Open exclusively to students in Years 7 to 9, this audition-based ensemble offers a gateway to the worlds of Jazz and Musical Theatre. The troupe becomes a canvas for refining dance technique, honing skills, and uncovering hidden abilities. Beyond the steps, emphasis is placed on elevating performance artistry and expressive qualities.

  • Requirements: Dance attire, black jazz shoes, hair up and off face 
Performance Opportunities

The troupe will perform at the Gold Coast Dance Eisteddfod and College events including the College Arts Fair and annual Dance Night.

 

Middle Years Dansation

Middle Years Dansation is specifically for students in Years 7 to 9 who possess an advanced skill level. Designed for dancers who have honed their craft to a refined level and have a strong commitment to rehearsals, this audition-based ensemble is for those who seek to take their skills to new heights.

Dancers will explore a diverse array of styles, including Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, and Lyrical. This troupe thrives on dedication, and a passion for dance that shines through every movement. As a member of this ensemble, dancers will immerse themselves in learning two meticulously choreographed routines, each a masterpiece in its own right.

Performance Opportunities

This group will compete at various dance eisteddfods throughout the year and will also perform at College events such as the College Arts Fair and our annual Dance Night. 

 

Combined Intensity Troupe

Advanced College Troupe 

The Combined Intensity Troupe embraces every dance style, from the fluid grace of contemporary to the emotional depth of lyrical and the infectious energy of jazz.

Tailored to Secondary School students, the Combined Intensity Troupe invites those to audition who have an advanced skill level and possess a very high level of dance technique and a strong commitment to rehearsals and training. This is a troupe that challenges the boundaries of dance.

Rehearsals
  • Venue: Dance Studio 
  • Time: Tuesday 7:30am to 8:30am 
  • Requirements: Dance attire and black knee pads (essential), black jazz shoes and toe thongs (bare feet acceptable), hair up and off face 
Performance Opportunities

This troupe represents the College at various eisteddfods and is involved in College events including our College Arts Fair, annual Dance Night, Cultural Awards and Presentation Night. Combined Intensity also tours interstate where they are involved in professional dance workshops, attend a live performance and compete in a well known dance competition.
