The Role

As an Educator, you will work collaboratively with the Teacher/Lead Educator to create a stimulating, secure, and developmentally appropriate environment for children. You will actively support the spiritual, emotional, and educational growth of each child, while fostering strong relationships with families and the wider community.

 

Educator - Early Learning Centre

As a Early Learning Educator in our Early Learning Centre, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged two and a half to five. You’ll work collaboratively with a team of dedicated educators and teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a sound understanding of early childhood education practices and regulations.

Key Functions, Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Responsibilities
  • Implement engaging play-based activities that promote holistic development
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where children feel safe to explore and learn
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and parents to support each child's individual needs and interests
  • Maintain a clean and organised classroom conducive to learning and exploration
  • Uphold health and safety standards at all times
  • Follow policies and procedures of the service
  • Uphold Christian Ethos of the Service
Successful Applicants will have:
  • Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood (or actively working towards)
  • Previous experience working with children aged two and a half to three and a half years preferred
  • Passion for early childhood education and a deep understanding of child development principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Current Suitability Card (Blue Card) and Child Protection Certificate
  • Current Senior First Aid and CPR; Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
