Casual Educator - Early Learning Centre
As a Early Learning Educator in our Early Learning Centre, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged two and a half to five. You’ll work collaboratively with a team of dedicated educators and teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a sound understanding of early childhood education practices and regulations.
Key Functions, Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Responsibilities
- Implement engaging play-based activities that promote holistic development.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where children feel safe to explore and learn.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and parents to support each child's individual needs and interests.
- Maintain a clean and organised classroom conducive to learning and exploration.
- Uphold health and safety standards at all times.
- Follow policies and procedures of the service.
- Uphold Christian Ethos of the Service.
Successful Applicants will have:
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood (or actively working towards).
- Previous experience working with children aged two and a half to three and a half years preferred.
- Passion for early childhood education and a deep understanding of child development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Current Suitability Card (Blue Card) and Child Protection Certificate
- Current Senior First Aid and CPR; Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training
