General Excellence Scholarship
Selection Criteria
- General Excellence Scholarships are awarded to students who exhibit excellence across a number of areas and a combination of areas including academics, leadership, community service, service to the school community and co-curricular involvement.
- Student selection is based on academic examination results, portfolio submission and, if shortlisted, subsequent interview.

Application Process
Step One
Please read the following important information prior to applying for an Academic or General Excellence Scholarship:
- All applications for Academic or General Excellence scholarships must be via the portal.
- Each application will be considered for both an Academic or General Excellence Scholarship.
- Please note that a student cannot hold both scholarships. Successful applicants will be advised of the scholarship that they have been awarded.
- All questions and report requests in the portal must be completed.
- The Examinations for Academic Scholarships for the 2027 school year will be held at the College on Saturday, 28 February 2026. Please ensure your child is available for the full day as times will not be confirmed until the week prior.
- The closing date for registration is Wednesday, 18 February 2026 at 3:00pm (Australia Eastern Standard Time).
- The cost of the scholarship exam is $95 including GST. Payment must be made at the end of the registration process online. If the payment is not made, your registration WILL NOT BE VALID.
- Testing is open to current and external students who will be in Years 7 to 12 in 2027.
- Alternate testing dates are not available. Please ensure you are available on the prescribed date. Please note the time of the exam will not be communicated until the week prior to the exam.
- There are limited places available for the examination. Registration will close prior to the published date if places are filled.
- The examination is paper-based.
- More information will be sent to registered students in the week prior to the examination date.
- Late examination registrations will not be accepted.

Shortlisted Applicants
- Shortlisted applicants who are invited for interview, will be notified of the date and time via email. Non-attendance at the interview will result in the application being voided.
Scholarship Conditions
Scholarship conditions will be outlined in the letter of offer for successful students.
These conditions may include the following:
- Maintain a high academic level (GPA)
- Remaining in good standing with the College in relation to:
- Effort (EPA)
- Behaviour
- Attendance
- Compliance with other College expectations
- Participate fully in the co-curricular activities of the College in so far as their abilities allow
- Show support to the leadership role that is implicit for all scholarship holders. This includes being a positive role model for younger students, displaying leadership by encouraging and supporting other students and fostering team and College spirit.
The College will reserve the right to terminate the scholarship in the event of gross or continued breaches of expectations, unwarranted decline in academic achievement or application, or persistent failure to support the College in its co-curricular program.
