This scholarship provides Indigenous students with financial assistance towards their education to allow them to engage, learn, strive, reach their full potential and excel through their secondary education.
Selection Criteria
- Indigenous Scholarships are awarded to students who align with our College ethos and values and maintain a high standard in application, commitment, behaviour and participation.
- Student selection is based on academic results, portfolio submission and, if shortlisted, subsequent interview.
Application Process
Step One
Please read the following important information prior to applying for an Indigenous Scholarship:
- Both the Cover Sheet, Portfolio and non-refundable Application Fee of $95.00 must be received prior to the closing date for the application to be valid.
- The closing date for applications is Wednesday, 18 February 2026 at 3:00pm (Australia Eastern Standard Time).
- There is a non-refundable application fee of $95.00 associated with an Indigenous Scholarship Application. If you are delivering the portfolio in person to Main Reception, you will be required to make the payment on delivery. If your portfolio is emailed, you will be sent a link to pay. Payment must be received prior to the closing time and date in order for the application to be valid.
- Late portfolio submissions will not be accepted.
- Short-listed applicants who are invited for interview, will be notified of the date and time via email. Non attendance at the interview will result in the application being voided.
Step Two

- Portfolios, which must have a cover sheet attached, can be emailed to enrol@salc.qld.edu.au or delivered to Main Reception. If your portfolio is emailed, the College will email you a link for you to process the payment of the $95.00 application fee. If your portfolio is delivered to Main Reception, please make payment on delivery.
- Portfolios and payments must be received prior to the closing date and time. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Scholarship Conditions
Scholarship conditions will be outlined in the letter of offer for successful students.
These conditions may include the following:
- Maintain a high academic level (GPA)
- Remaining in good standing with the College in relation to:
- Effort (EPA)
- Behaviour
- Attendance
- Compliance with other College expectations
- Participate fully in the co-curricular activities of the College in so far as their abilities allow
- Show support to the leadership role that is implicit for all scholarship holders. This includes being a positive role model for younger students, displaying leadership by encouraging and supporting other students and fostering team and College spirit.
The College will reserve the right to terminate the scholarship in the event of gross or continued breaches of expectations, unwarranted decline in academic achievement or application, or persistent failure to support the College in its co-curricular program.
