Club Sport and Community Connections
An important outcome for St Andrews students is to make positive connections with the local community. In sport, this is offered through direct affiliations with local clubs and competitions. Students across a broad range of ages and abilities have the opportunity to engage in relevant after school mid-week or weekend competitions run by local clubs. Students then have the opportunity to play sport with their friends in Touch Football, Netball and Futsal. Team requirements, costs and competition details are regularly communicated at the start of each season. Currently, St Andrews offers Touch Football for tots right up to Under 18’s. In future years, Netball and Futsal will be added to this exciting opportunity to enhance lifelong physical activity experiences. All coaching is provided by the school and is offered either in the morning from 7:00am to 8:00am or after school.
Students who engage in these teams will have opportunities through the club system to make representative teams and/or train to become a referee or umpire.
